How Completed Checklists Lead to Results With Our Dreams

This week will probably be the shortest entry of my 8 Women Dream career.

I have so much going on, so much to talk about, but not a lot of time to go into details at the moment – so here’s a quick list of all the things I’ve completed on the “dreaded checklist”.

Over the next few weeks I’ll bring ya’ all up to speed with details.

I finished the first draft of my photography website.

It’s live on the internet now, and even though there are a few key changes I need to make, for the most part, I’m really happy with how it turned out.

If you can take a look I’d love your feedback.

The date is set for the second meeting of business meet-up group I started back in September.

We’ve had 2 meetings to date – and on the 10th of March we’re meeting in mid town Sacramento to talk about the best approaches to creating a profitable,  standalone business model.

My new consulting website is going through a bit of reconstruction prior to it’s launch.

I’m really excited about how its turning out.

Once it’s released I’ll also welcome your feedback to what you see.

This is all very new to me.

I’ve contacted Kodak and Olympus to determine whether or not they’d be willing to sponsor me through  my 8 Women Dream journey.

I’ve identified support as money, equipment, publicity – and there seems to be interest from both and a few others.

We’re just not sure what it looks like yet.  More on that later.

Building my own business has been slow and I’m trying to make sure I’m not avoiding what has to be done.

Regarding the group – I feel like the more we work together, the better I feel about my progress – and I wonder what the hell I did prior to last year!

Working with these ladies has been an incredible journey, and I believe its just a matter of time before it goes BIG – for everyone.

Next up for me – preparing for the North Bay Art Fair in April and of course, Spring Training in  Scottsdale for the Giants!

A girl deserves  some fun from time to time, right?

Until next photo

    You go girl!

I make sure I do at least one thing each day towards my dream either by walking, meditating, continuing to go without sugar, marketing the blog, and writing to people and companies who want to get on board with what we are doing.

I keep two checklists, one at home and one at work and before I fall asleep at night I check in to make sure I have accomplished at least one thing. Some days I complete nine and other days it’s two. but the checklists remind me what I want to do. Sometimes my son even notices the list and will say, “Come on Mom, let’s walk to the store for your walk today.”

    Love the photographs.

You remind me of my favorite song by Bare Naked Ladies… “who needs sleep?” – oh and thanks for reminding me of Italy with that photo!

Can’t wait to have a glass of wine and catch up! – H

Very Cool! I checked out your website and your wonderful photos. Congratulations on getting it up and going. So you treated yourself to Italy at forty sounds like a good idea. I spent Saturday taking pictures around Petaluma area and was thinking of you. It was a great day for photographs with the cloudy day and spurts of light.
You are doing an amazing job! Heather is right. Who needs sleep?

YES you deserve some fun!!! And I was reminded this past weekend, making time for fun also helps free up more energy and joy to focus on moving forward with our dreams… I literally needed to go away for a joyful dancing weekend to feel ready to jump back in on the book again this week.

Proud of you for all your incredible progress!

    Hugs,
    Lis
