Sometimes it’s easier to take little steps toward our dreams than big giant leaps. We all have our to-do lists that keep us on track with our dream goals. But how many times do these items keep moving from day to day, without any action?
If you knew even a little action would help with your dream achievements, would you take it?
Just a little feat, every day
DailyFeats was created by a group of family and friends who are committed to bringing people together in the pursuit of a better life.
With help from our commercial and nonprofit partners, who support feats that match their own values, we believe that together we can create the change our society needs, starting from the smallest actions and working upwards.
In order to do good for you and the world, you need to make something a habit to make it work for you. Including using Daily Feats. Just like any system, you have to use it to make it work for you and gain rewards. Here’s what made me love using Daily Feats.
Build support for the non-profit you chose
I may not have the cash flow for non-profit donations that I had in years past, but I can turn my Daily Feats points into social change. For example, Cigna is sponsoring donations to non-profits such as American Heart Association and Save The Children.
When you are building your points to help someone else, that can be a huge motivator in itself. Daily Feats tracks what you have accomplished every 24 hours, and just like real life, you can’t go back in time to add something to your feats checklist.
You get to choose what you want to create as a habit, what tasks that habit entails, and how often you want to accomplish it. Is it something you see yourself tackling daily?
Sign up that feat for 7 days a week. Looking to add something to your weekend goals? Just add it to your feats for the weekends. They have plenty to add to your list and you can check the feats out here.
How I’ve already used Daily Feats to keep my goal setting on track:
- Writing: Not only do I need to keep up with my 8 Women Dream writing plans, but my other ventures require regular writing. Adding the writing feat to my daily tasks made a huge difference in keeping this in the forefront of my daily plans.
- Meal planning: This is something new for me. We typically cook a few dishes for the week, but with my nutrition and weight loss in progress, keeping this in check with my grocery budget is a big help.
- Creative project: I let the “fun” part of the creative process fall to the back burner. Adding this feat as a goal twice a week makes me look at scheduling and working on something – anything – creative.
- Budget: Oh joy! Financial goals aren’t always fun to work on, but the cute graphics that Daily Feats put on their tasks make it seem much less intimidating.
Just like any good social media tool, Daily Feats allows you to share and interact through Twitter or Facebook as you check off your feats.
Of course, if you want to build your group up for more support, you can invite your friends to be your “Habit Buddy.”
Proof of just how important group support is shows up here on 8 Women Dream daily.
Just what do you want to check off your list today?
Use Daily Feats slogan as support to “Go Do Good”.
Congrats on your daily feats – Heather
