Thursday December 22ND is the shortest day of the year and a great day to contemplate what you want out of 2012.
Many of you may be holiday shopping, cooking or simply trying to survive the holiday season. Â This can be a depressing time of year for some, and if you are someone who is feeling down-and-out . . . we want you to hold on to the thought that a fresh year is just weeks away. Â After December 22ND, the days become longer again, and before you know it spring is upon us.
Having a dream and working on it can get you through the darkest of times. Â It’s why we created 8 Women Dream. Â Focusing on something big makes the smaller, petty things have less meaning. Dreaming big can also give you hope — it’s the lovely by-product of dreaming. Â Won’t you think about starting your dream in 2012?
We’d love to hear from you.
Here’s hoping this time of year is special for you!
We are looking for feedback on what images come to mind when you think of making your dreams come true.
For example, do you think of wishing on a shooting star, blowing on a dandelion, or waving a magic wand? Â What about tossing a coin into a fountain?
Do you have better ideas? Please share.
We need your help to determine what the next look of 8 Women Dream logo will be by what symbol represents dreaming to you. Â Please take our survey and tell us what represents dreaming big dreams to you
Catherine’s dream is to make 8 Women Dream the premier online publication for women looking to pursue their dreams. She is a published author, a freelance writer, and a guide for those who want their dreams to come true online. Catherine would someday like to be invited to speak at TED about her observations about her 8WD project inviting women to take a chance on their dreams. Wine was required... Catherine posts on Sunday evenings and fills in dream stories as needed. If you aren't sure how to comment on this story, click here.
