A Year of Dreaming Dangerously With Food

A Year of Dreaming Greatly Has Come to an End - Inside of the Jets I have flown on

Since I started writing on this blog a year ago,  things have shifted all over the place for me.  My dreams have gone from simply being a private chef at luxury vacation villas to providing food on private jets, filming cooking videos for E-how/Rachael Ray, and now,  teaching culinary arts to challenged teens so they can learn freedom through food and cooking.

My year spent dreaming with 8 Women Dream has come to an end and I want you to know that this year spent dreaming dangerously with food and you has changed me in such a positive way.  I have so much to be thankful for.  I am in such a different place than I was a year ago when I started this dream adventure.

I will now be moving on to finish my cookbook/memoir so I can share it with you.

So you can see that I won’t be far from these fellow dreamers (and you) that I’ve come to know and love.

Moving forward, you can catch up with me on my Real Maria blog where I discuss food, cooking and my life as a chef.  Hopefully, this will help you live your food and cooking dreams too, whether your dream is to be a celebrity chef, or to just want to have a more intimate with food and cooking.

I am grateful for the time I’ve spent with my fellow dreamers and I am blessed to know each of them.  You have been an inspiration to me in so many ways.

I am most thankful to Catherine Hughes who has worked hard with me on being a better blog writer, for working around my schedule and for having my back on this site.

It’s time for me to write my own story, in my own words and I hope you will join me.  I love every one of you who have been a supportive follower.

Until we meet again,  I wish that every dream you have will become reality.  Go out there and spend a year dreaming dangerously and see where you end up at the end of 2014.  I think you will be amazed at the results.

With love and bon appetit,

Maria

You’ve done so many amazing things in the past year! I’m not saying goodbye either. I’m so happy to have gotten to know you through 8WD and can’t wait to see what Awesome you create next.

  • No goodbyes from me either since I know I’ll be seeing you and keeping in touch. Love your videos, know your cookbook will be amazing, and keep on dreaming big Maria… you do that really well!

    Hugs – Heather

  • I think your teaching practice will fill you with a joy beyond measure. You are already a natural with kids. Look at how easily it flowed to you. You’ll know after your first month if you’ve found your real passion and I’m guessing they will love you. Look at how you care for those cats. xo Cath

This is not good-bye. This is “until we meet again in a new place.” As I have said before on this blog, and will say again – dreams don’t die, they just take a new shape. It has been exciting to watch your dream take a new shape. Thank you for sharing your life with us – your hopes and dreams – your tears and your fears. It has made us stronger dreamers. Until we meet again. Hugs.

They say when you love someone, you need to let them go. I am sure this is what Cath thought when she heard the news from you… I too am saddened by the news, BUT If i can just allow to let you know how you have inspired me.

You showed such great courage after you have opened up about your personal struggles in your life. I can respect someone who has gone through adversity and still manage to come up on top.

I am a South African women, I came from Poverty, Never had the best of everything, but being a dreamer has helped me focus on my dream, and people like you really inspire me so much.

I do know that YOU will be so successful! I have seen your food and the pics yu post on FB and I have had moments where I tell my hubby… We need to go to the States and eat some of Maria’s food! It looks so yum… and that is a goal I intend to meet you one day and just have that opportunity.. it would be such a great honor.

I wish you all the best with your new blog and the future

I am sending you blessings from SOuth Africa and I will keep you in my prayers! Keep us in mind when you get super famous with your book ;)

    Love and Light from Sue
