Thankful Thursday: Be Grateful from Where You Are Right Now

Thankful Thursday: At OYou in South Africa

Hi dreamers. It’s time for another thankful Thursday.

I have so much to be thankful for this week. On Monday I attended The Oprah Magazine’s first O You! conference in South Africa. The event was held at the Gallagher Convention Center in Johannesburg. There were well over 5,500 people in attendance.

There were a lot of women looking to be empowered!

One of Oprah’s main themes at the event is to know that life experiences arise to teach us something and to be in a state of gratitude when we encounter these experiences.

“When you don’t know what to do, get still and the answer will come, and through the roughest of storms, just say thank you.”

Thankful Thursday: Oprah on being grateful at oYou

The O You! event was aimed at empowering South African women with inspirational messages. Talk about a theme that lined right up with my big dream to speak around the world empowering women to live their best life!

It was such an inspirational event and I have so much to say about it (you should see my goodie bag) that I will be sharing my thoughts over several posts.

I’ll leave you with the basic theme question of Oprah’s amazing event:

Are you living your best life?

Here are 6 questions to ask yourself (thank you Oprah) to answer that question:

1. Who am I meant to be?
2. Am I focused on my passions, dreams and goals?
3. What’s holding me back?
4. How do I want to be seen?
5. How can I best express myself to the world?
6. Am I living my best life every day (in my spirit, body, style and finances)?

I’d like to add one for question to this list –

What can you be grateful for this day?

In gratitude,

Sue
