Does Your Brain Help You Achieve Your Dreams Like Dr Daniel Amen and Tammy Grad?

This weeks inspirational video features Dr Daniel Amen. In his pioneering new book, Change Your Brain, Change Your Life, Dr. Amen explains how you can “optimize” your brain to achieve your fullest potential.  Many of the difficulties associated with anxiety, depression, excessive worrying, anger, and distraction are related to five specific systems in the brain. Dr. Amen explains how these systems work and how malfunctions can affect your behavior.

Since we 8 women are always asking the proverbial why, maybe Dr Amen offers some solutions to consider when our behavior may be getting in the way of our dreams…

8WD_web_badge-This weeks inspirational blog award actually goes to a website owned and operated by Tammy Grad called RavensNext Boutique.  I once worked with her in the Telecom industry. She was (and still is) adorable.  She writes-

“I dream everyday of securing financial freedom in building a strong business to be able to support my two boys and give them a life where they don’t see a stressed out mama!  I started an online business called RavensNest Boutique {style; New & reUsed } http://www.ravensnestboutique.com.  We’re brand spankin new but I feel I’ve gotten into a niche of fashion thats is just about to blow up.  I sell and buy new and used designer clothing then offer it back to the public at affordable prices. Honestly, a pair of lucky jeans for $28??  I am a true believer that everyone deserves  “the finer things” sometimes…  I would love to make that happen in a time of economic disaster.  Sometimes, a great outfit can make a girls day… and if its affordable, well then, even better!

I live, eat and breath this dream and am working very hard at achieving it… everyday.  Beyond this dream is to help others take a chance and do what they love and hopefully be able them realize their dreams can too become a reality.  How do we get pass all the criticism we all face?  Are you a good mom?  Are you a good worker? Are you good?  So now, I take it day to day and try to laugh it off and think, someday none of this stress will matter.”

I find Tammy to be an inspiration to women and single moms to follow their art dreams!   Stop by her site and check out her dream.  Tammy, you inspire us.

May everyone have an inspirational week and keep on dreaming -

Thanks, Cathy, for your visit to my blog and for letting me know my link is a popular one here! I appreciate that, how fun!

This blog is a big inspiration to me, and I keep pointing people your way. Keep up the amazing work, all of you.

As for asking the question, “why?”, isn’t that so human of us though? I like to add other questions, especially since I was trained as a psychic to be like a detective and ask questions like, “what is this?” or “where did this come from?” instead. “Why” may get us to go round and round sometimes.

    Wonderful post. thank you!
