I am a food addict. I fell off the wagon. I want to get back on now.

hamburgerDoes anyone have any tips on how to do that? You can’t quit eating. I am at the stage where I feel sorry for myself for failing so I eat. It seems like I see or know so many people who don’t seem to have this addiction and it makes me mad that I do. I’m sure they have other issues, but you can’t see them.  You can see this one, and I don’t want it.

Not much else to post with my Japanese research. Just enjoying the last week of summer before the kiddies start school, and getting them ready, (and me). Maybe I need to start researching the Japanese diet since they are so thin and look healthy.

Till next time,

She lost 20 pounds and overcame her intense dislike (do we say fear?) of flying to accomplish that dream. She rotated off the blog in February 2010, but still hangs out with 8 Women Dream.  You can find her in the comments section)

Yes, exercise is the key. Nancy how about Zumba next week??

  • Danelle, the equestrian

I agree with Dawnda – exercise! Any way you can. Don’t beat yourself up too badly. I keep telling myself that its more important to get back on the wagon, regardless of how many times you fall off.

  • I hear ya, Kim. Somehow Best Foods mayo has crept back into our house, (because it’s BLT season, and why waste a BLT with anything else), and Vanilla ice cream, too, because, what is better than vanilla ice cream with all those thousands of blackberries I’ve been picking? We went months without bad stuff in the house, and we’re slipping… I’m blaming it on summer. Let’s keep up the Zumba … and if you think of other activity you want a partner for, I’m up for it!
Just don’t beat yourself up too bad. You look fantastic, and you should celebrate your accomplishment! Feeling bad about yourself is the most dangerous thing.

On our way back from Reno I vowed I would eat nothing but protein and veggies for a few weeks to get the sugar out of my system. Then I would start to slowly make it a balanced diet. That lasted until dinner last night. I had guilt seeping out my pores. I think anyone close to me could probably smell it.
As I sat chastising myself (again) I remembered the one thing I did that helped me lose weight before. It also helped stop the cravings and gave me more energy. That thing is excercising. For me it works…but only if I do something several times a day, maybe that helps me remember where I am trying to go. Anyway, that is my plan….I will start soon.

Don’t feel all alone girlfriend…I also have the food addiction..

Well I like Veronica’s 3 Hour diet guy and Paul McKenna’s way of looking at eating (http://www.paulmckenna.com/default.aspx) bottom line for me is that I need to go back to dancing three days a week and one day of weight lifting.
