Hello, World of Dreamers!
My name is Jayne. I’m a mom, a business owner, a hobbyist cook and knitter, a dog owner, and a wife. My business is The Self Reliant Entrepreneur, where I work with small business owners who are struggling to survive and, at the same time, learning how to thrive in the post-economic crash world. I’m joining the company of 8 Women Dream and excited to get started! Today I’m just peeking through the door to let you know I’ll be your Saturday blogger and my first post will take flight on Saturday, January 1.
My Big Dream is to master my personal finances by marshaling my strengths instead of trying to fix myself. I’m choosing that methodology for a couple of reasons.
One, I think it would be boring to read about me trying to fix myself; and if it would bore ME, it’s probably safe to assume that it would bore YOU. In spades.
Two, Marcus Buckingham is my muse. He says adults can certainly get a little bit better at areas of weakness if they try really really hard for a really really long time. But if they will take even a tiny snippet of that energy and use it to excel in an area of strength, they will fly like the eagle.
My dream is to fly like the eagle when it comes to my personal finances. I hope you’ll join me every Saturday morning of the year 2011.
Jayne
