How To Get That Euphoric Feeling When Dreaming

When it rains it pours.

About a month ago I was thinking that I need to find a place to display my paintings.  They spend most of their time sitting around my studio patiently waiting for my June and October shows (Open Studios).

Then a couple of weeks ago, I received an email from a manager of a tasting room in Healdsburg. He said he found my website and was wondering if I would like to display my work there.  Last Tuesday, my husband and I went to check it out.   I could have not asked for a better arrangement.

The space was great and the manager informed me that if any of the paintings sold, they do not take a percentage.  Galleries usually take 50% and most wineries take 25%.  Last week I ended up receiving two more emails asking if I would like to display.   I decided the Rosemblum’s Tasting Room in Healdsburg is where I was meant to be.   Today at 10:00 AM, I will be in Healdsburg hanging the show just in time for their wine member pick up party.

Hay fever aside, the rest of my week went well.  I finished the urban scape of Santa Cruz and I am happy with its outcome. I find myself always thinking the painting I am working on at the moment is my best. I believe this might be because of the joy I feel when painting.  On the other hand, that euphoric feeling could be the paint fumes.

A più tardi,

Wendy

(Wendy’s dream is still to become a influential international artist, but she left 8 Women Dream in March of 2010 to complete grad school.  She is still a strong supporter of 8 Women Dream and you will see her in the comments on the blog.)
