Goal status: More earrings needed and I need to go shopping for more silver jewelry wire.

This past week has been a whirlwind of meetings – including an incredible 8 Women Dream get together this past Friday graciously hosted by fellow dreamer, Rayne.

I had the opportunity to share the display of my jewelry at Haus Fortuna in Petaluma California before the meeting.

Want to meet some local artists?

All artists, including myself, will be at Haus Fortuna for a meet and greet this Saturday, April 10th from 4-7.

If you live in Northern California, come by and toast art with a glass of wine, surrounded by Italian warmth.

Here’s a video update on my dream with a quick tip for taking the next step on your dream path.

It’s my first video blog post –

I survived stepping outside my comfort zone and making this damn video. If I can – you can. Other than making me want to work-out constantly, it wasn’t so bad.

Facing a fear makes us stronger.

It builds our courage to fight what’s holding us back in our lives, and ultimately what’s keeping us from our dreams.

Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’ You must do the thing you think you cannot do.”

So I did a video.

Besides,  Cath made me do it.

Jump to the next stepping stone of your dream this week by doing the thing you think you cannot do –

(Heather’s dream is to have multiple streams of income, starting with launching an e-commerce website that showcases her one-of-a-kind designer jewelry, which are crafted by her.  Her newly launched sites are couture jewelry available through For Your Adornment, and  Twitter background designs on Twitter And Beyond Dot Com. She also teaches Social Media tactics for business, besides being CEO of her own web design company.  Heather’s post day is Thursday)

Dude! I love the video and you look great! Don’t beat yourself up! Speaking of fears, my daddy always said “stare down your fears till they fear YOU more.”
Tackle the one thing you fear and you’ll have to think of something new to be nervous about. Too bad fears don’t burn calories! Maybe if we hop up and down everytime we are having fearful thoughts? I’m going to try that this week. I’ll either lose weight or stop being a fraidy cat.

Rayne – I’ll have to try the hopping thing. I may never sit still again!

Wow, way to go! How many takes did you do? I’m sure one of them is just complete laughter. Of course the end result turned out great, you are wearing incredible jewels and speaking about something I am passionate about- taking the next step! I don’t know if video blogging is in my future, cause I became a photographer to stay BEHIND the camera. And, i don’t have a husband to say “go” or a professional studio in my living room AHEM. Ah, maybe one day I’ll have it all – Photography studio AND husband. What a concept. Love you, Rem

    • With this video there were about 4 takes… most of the outtakes are me swearing, laughing at myself, or tripping over words. And yes, they are quite amusing!

  • Heather, the e-commerce builder

Thanks for the great notes of encouragement! Anyone interested in trying the whole video thing… just let me know!

Heather I just had to stop and say that you did a great job on this. you look pretty and your bubbly personality shines through.

I have a couple of people I am doing some sales landing pages for who are looking to do some inexpensive quick videos that look like this, so maybe I can add to your multiple steams of income dream.

Great job – now you should get everyone else to do these every now and then. . .

You are the first to start the video blogging for 8 Women Dream – congratulations!

It’s amazing what we can do when we get out of our own way. My guess is that this was a lot easier than you thought it was
